Feminista joins the good folks at Blerd Book Club (Thelonious of The Legend Books and Jamie of Black Girl Nerds) for a discussion about Push The Button and the BDSM Lifestyle. It was a wonderful conversation in which parallels between science fiction, Afrofuturism, and BDSM-lit were made. There was a fruitful discussion of writing as activism and depicting Black Love as revolutionary.

Kuumba, celebrated on the sixth day of Kwanzaa represents creativity. We must continue to ue our artistic skills to tell our stories and express the beauty and diversity of our people. One of my motivations for writing PTB was to show an oft-misunderstood aspect of romantic love between Black people.
